Immerse Yourself in the Charm of Casa Santo Domingo
Nestled within a restored convent, Casa Santo Domingo offers a unique blend of colonial and modern architecture. Discover a tranquil outdoor pool, a rejuvenating spa, and a well-equipped gym, alongside captivating museums and galleries.
Indulge in the gourmet cuisine of El Tenedor restaurant, savoring breakfast and traditional Guatemalan dishes, or enjoy light bites and refreshing drinks on the terrace at the El Cabido bar. Each corner of this hotel museum spa tells a story of the past, seamlessly woven into a beautiful chapter of Guatemalan history.
A First-Class Experience
Our stay at Casa Santo Domingo was truly exceptional.
The grounds are beautifully maintained, and our well-appointed room was spotless. We highly recommend rooms with windows, patios, or balconies for the best views and atmosphere. Don't miss the chance to explore the on-site museums and historical ruins.
The staff's friendly and helpful service is truly commendable.
A Touch of Affordability
While the hotel is priced higher than average in Guatemala, it represents an excellent value for a luxury experience. The luxury aspect was highly appreciated by us, who are used to US prices.
We enjoyed a delicious breakfast at the adjacent Santo Domingo del Cerro restaurant, where we also admired the impressive art installations.
Unforgettable Ambiance
The hotel's ambiance is simply enchanting. The historic architecture, extensive gardens, and remnants of colonial ruins create a truly immersive experience.
The rooms are beautifully appointed, offering comfortable spaces and impressive amenities. The overall service and quality of food and drinks are exceptional. We especially recommend the tuna tartare and sea bass fillet.
Expert Service with Minor Considerations
The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, although English proficiency varied.
This is quite common in Guatemala, and we readily accommodated. The breakfast experience was wonderful, with a variety of choices including both traditional Guatemalan and American options. However, we did find that amenities like kettles in the rooms would be a nice addition.

Our room was spacious and comfortable, furnished with elegant antique wooden pieces.
The bathrooms were equally well-maintained. The hotel's unique architecture and design make it a must-see destination. Antigua is a wonderful city, but its cobblestone streets can make walking around a bit challenging.
